Do You Remember Your First Date With a Woman?
Filed Under Dating | 5 Comments
Genia: Her name was Katrina and I think the year was 1997. She was the prettiest tomboy I’d ever seen. We met online. She was in the military at the time. I flew to San Angelo, TX to meet her for the first time. We met. We had great sex. She dumped me the next day. Hmmm . . . maybe the sex wasn’t that great?
Andrea: I remember one of the first dates but not the official first date. We went to the beach and went swimming. We weren’t technically dating yet but definitely getting to know each other.

What’s With Lesbians Who Date Their Sister?
Filed Under Dating | 3 Comments
Genia: Rarely do we see straight girls who date guys who look like them, why do a lot of lesbian couples look like sisters? In my opinion, a woman who dates a woman who could double as her almost-twin sister is either (a) narcissistic and sexually attracted to someone who reminds her of herself (b) afraid of doing something someone different or (c) so cheap that she only wants to date someone who wears the same clothes she does so she doesn’t have to buy her own wardrobe.
Andrea: I think many woman are attracted to someone completely opposite from them but are unsure how to make those differences work for them. I know that in our area we see a lot of couples who end up looking like sisters rather than partners. Women may be afraid to get out of their comfort zone and only have relationships with women who are similar to them.

Great Places to Meet Lesbians, Besides the Bar
Filed Under Dating | 4 Comments
Genia: Internet dating sites are a great place to meet women. You just have to know how to avoid trouble. If you hate internet dating but like sports, try finding a local volleyball (or softball) league. Your local bowling alley might be full of lesbians. Volunteering at your local LGBT community center will help you meet great people, too.
Andrea: I always did some looking at the Saturday farmers market, public library, and volunteer experiences. I know many lesbians participate in various sports to meet the single ladies. There may also be lesbian book clubs in the community to join. I think online is probably the easiest place to meet someone now.
