Genia: But I’m a Cheerleader was funny as hell! I also loved Aimee and Jaguar.

Andrea: I always liked High Art which was directed by Lisa Cholodenko. I saw this movie as a young lesbian and liked that the movie was about an artist. Because I was an artist myself, I was connected to the main character played by Ally Sheedy. I do have to note that I was never a drug-addicted photographer like her character.

And Then Came Lola. Hans down the sexiest … Funny, sweet, and one of the few with a multi-racial cast where the women of color aren’t relegated to asexual sidekicks.

Put it in your Netflix request queue if you didn’t catch it at a film festival.

Fearless prediction: Ashley Sumner is going to be a STAR. *sigh*

8 Femmes. It’s a French movie and a bit of a musical if I remember correctly. It was the first lesbian or gay themed movie I ever saw and I loved it.
