Great Places to Meet Lesbians, Besides the Bar

Genia: Internet dating sites are a great place to meet women.  You just have to know how to avoid trouble.   If you hate internet dating but like sports, try finding a local volleyball (or softball) league.   Your local bowling alley might be full of lesbians.   Volunteering at your local LGBT community center will help you meet great people, too.

Andrea: I always did some looking at the Saturday farmers market, public library, and volunteer experiences.  I know many lesbians participate in various sports to meet the single ladies.  There may also be lesbian book clubs in the community to join.  I think online is probably the easiest place to meet someone now.

    I find it hard to meet women online on dating sites.

    I’ve tried paid sites like Match (waste of money) along with True (big time waste of money along with True doing a lot of false advert. Example, they’ll send you winks from people that haven’t logged in in ages or they’re not even your type. I had a lady apparently wink at me only to discover that her type of woman, on her profile, said she was looking for someone white.) I’ve done pink sofa but talked to more Aussies. Plus I find a lot of the women on most of these sites not even remotely close to my type at all.

    I don’t have good gaydar to spot a lesbian, single at that, at a farmer’s market, library or even on the street unless they scream butch. That’s about it. Plus here in Denver, there are a ton of women who sport that androgynous look and they’re not lesbian. It’s that hipster look. I’ve mistaken two women for lesbian but they weren’t.

    If Logo would start running that show, “Can’t Find a Date” I would want them to do a series here! I would be the first to sign up.
